PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Twenty CoSIDA members will receive 25-Year Awards at the organization's annual workshop to be held in Tampa, Fla. from June 29 through July 2. The recipients will be presented their awards at the awards luncheon on July 2.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Dan O’Connell, who has more than 30 years vested in the sports information profession, has been named the recipient of the 2008 Lester Jordan Award by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The award is presented to an individual (or company) for exemplary service to CoSIDA's Academic All-America Award program and the promotion of the ideals of being a student-athlete.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is proud to announce that Dave Parsons, Sports Information Director at Mount Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) University, is the recipient of the 2008 Clarence "Ike" Pearson Award.

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Mendy Nestor, in her second year as an Assistant Director in the University of Pittsburgh Media Relations Office, has been named the recipient of the 2008 University Division Rising Star Award by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The award is presented to a University Division member with 10 years of service or less whose work at their institution and service, dedication, energy and enthusiasm to the profession make that individual a “rising star” in sports information.
